What if I am over 18 years old, but my partner is not, can we still race?
- Create your own Reality Race in The First Annual Steel Town Amazing Race! Loosely based on the hit television show ‘The Amazing Race’ its your turn to make it to the winners mat!
- Prove your Strength, Stamina and Sheer Ability to become the first EVER winner of The Steel Town Amazing Race
- You will compete for AMAZING prizes!
- To support the youth of Hamilton through fundraising for City Kidz
- Yourself, your teammate
- Pledges and Pledge Forms
- A piece of Government issued identification
- Adequate foot attire
- Dress for the Elements (i.e. rain gear, sunscreen, hats, mitts, sunglasses, etc.)
- ENERGY AND STAMINA TO SURVIVE ELIMINATION!!!
How can we collect pledges?
Pledges can be collected in two ways:
- Online
- In Person (with provided Pledge Form)
When your friends and family decide to pledge you they can either give you cash or cheques (made out to City Kidz) in person and you can fill out their information on your printed pledge form. These monies will then be submitted the day of the race at the starting point of Mohawk College.
For those individuals that wish to use their credit card they can do so online. Follow the ‘Pledge a Team’ link and type in the name of the individual you wish to pledge. Follow the instructions to make the donation. Online pledges will be cut off a full day prior to the race at midnight on Thursday, April 3rd, 2008.

- Due to EXTREME inclement weather, race may be cancelled

Unfortunately, all participants must be at least 18 years old.
Mohawk College is the Starting Point for the Race.
Space is limited and the finish line will be at a separate location. It may be the a good idea to be dropped off that day.
She sure can!!! So can any of your friends and family! The kickoff will be held at Mohawk College and the finish line will be at City Kidz’ Playhouse on Sherman Ave. The sprint to the finish wouldn’t be the same without a thrilling celebration!
